Expedition of TWIN-PEAKS and VMU Energy Security Research Center
On November 12, trainees of the international consortium TWIN-PEAKS and VMU Energy Security Research Center participated in a scientific expedition at Kaunas Cogeneration Power Plant. Šarūnas Šimelevičius, Head of Operational Management of the Power Plant, introduced the participants to the waste incineration technology used in the power plant, the organization of the operational process and how the power plant contributes to the creation of a greener and more sustainable environment in Kaunas region. Participants took the opportunity to observe the practical production process of waste-to-energy.
